It was a good afternoon all around for the TigerHawk boys’ and girls’ golf teams as they picked up wins over Postville Tuesday, May 6, in Luana.

Boys

The North Fayette Valley boys finished with each of the top four individuals in a 170-201 victory over the Pirates at Tri City Golf Club behind a 1-2 effort from senior Tanner Wilker and sophomore Blake Everitt. The two each carded 39s, while freshman Cam Miller was third with a 41 and sophomore Owen Baker was fourth with a 45.

Tied for fifth were Cole Moser and Tate Germann with 46s, while Kenny Kerr was eighth with a 48.

With a full lineup of golfers in action for NFV, other scores included Drew Stolka (50), Carsten Lensing (50), Alex Hackmann (50), Brayden Kuker (56), and Kyler Bertram (56).

Girls

In the girls’ round, North Fayette Valley took the win by shooting a new season low of 195 to Postville’s 279.

All four NFV scoring golfers finished amongst the top three low scores, with junior Kassie Tilleraas earning medalist honors with a 44 and Taryn Moser carding a 45 to take runner-up.

Sophomores Lainy Donnelly and Addie Thompson each finished with 53s to tie for third, while Emmaliyah Rhode rounded out the effort in seventh with a 71.
