On Monday, December 02, 2024 at approximately 5:30 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Isaiah Michael Paustian, 25, of Hazleton. Paustian was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made following an incident in the Buchanan County Jail.
On Monday, December 02, 2024 at approximately 9:10 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested William Harold Kirkpatrick, 55, of Jesup. Kirkpatrick was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear. This arrest was made in the 1000 blk North Street in Jesup.
On Tuesday, December 03, 2024 at approximately 7:10 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Melissa Ann Myers, 36, of Lamont. Myers was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for an original charge of Domestic Abuse Assault with Injury (serious misdemeanor) and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Tuesday, December 03, 2024 at approximately 11:45 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Raquel Virginia Bowser, 35, of Hazleton. Bowser was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Parole Violation and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Tuesday, December 03, 2024 at approximately 5:10 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jarrid Robert Campbell, 35, of Walker. Campbell was charged with second degree one count of Sexual Abuse (class B felony), one count of third degree Sexual Abuse (class C felony), two counts of Incest (class D felony) and one count of first degree Harassment (aggravated misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 3200 blk Lucas Avenue.
On Wednesday, December 04, 2024 at approximately 7:20 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jordan Daniel McGrane, 40, of Fairbank. McGrane was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault with Injury (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a disturbance in the 700 blk S Washington Street in Fairbank.
On Friday, December 06, 2024 at approximately 7:20 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Joshua Allen Chamberlain, 39, of Aurora. Chamberlain was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Friday, December 06, 2024 at approximately 9:45 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Caleb Lee Bradshaw, 27, of Oelwein. Bradshaw was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Violation of Pre-Trial Release and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Sunday, December 08, 2024 at approximately 8:05 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Charlene Marie Smith, 47, of Arlington. Smith was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Sunday, December 08, 2024 at approximately 2:20 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Dustin James Shonka, 35, of Independence. Shonka was charged with Driving While License Barred (aggravated misdemeanor), Driving While License Suspended (simple misdemeanor) and Failure to Carry SR22 Insurance as Required (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 1300 blk River Road Blvd.
On Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at approximately 3:45 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Shane Ryan Howard, 34, of Independence. Howard was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and was taken into custody from the Oelwein Police Department.
On Thursday, December 12, 2024 at approximately 12:10 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Loyd Leon Williams III, 38. of Oelwein. Williams was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and was taken into custody from the Oelwein Police Department.
On Thursday, December 12, 2024 at approximately 6:45 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jarrid Robert Campbell, 35, of Walker. Campbell was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for original charges of second degree Sexual Abuse (class B felony), third degree Sexual Abuse (class C felony) filed by the Jesup Police Department. This arrest was made in the 3200 blk Lucas Avenue.
On Friday, December 13, 2024 at approximately 8:20 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jeremiah Ray Mizerny, 37, of Cedar Rapids. Mizerny was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and taken into custody from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at approximately 2:40 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Dustin James Shonka, 35, of Independence. Shonka was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Thursday, December 19, 2024 at approximately 2:00 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Shaye Janelle Perry, 19, of Durango. Perry was charged with Organized Retail Theft (serious misdemeanor), Underage Possession of Alcohol (simple misdemeanor) and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made following an incident in the 700 blk Washburn Avenue in Lamont.
On Thursday, December 19, 2024 at approximately 3:45 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Chazzer Randy Farmer, 21, of Jesup. Farmer was charged with Violation of Protection Order (simple misdemeanor). While Deputies were at his residence in Jesup, they observed Controlled Substances in plain view. A search warrant was then applied for and granted. Subsequently, Farmer was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 700 blk Ninth Street in Jesup. The Jesup Police Department assisted in this arrest.
On Friday, December 20, 2024 at approximately 6:30 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Austin James Bushaw, 22, of Hazleton. Bushaw was charged with Animal Neglect Causing Non-Serious Injury (serious misdemeanor), Animal Neglect Causing Serious Injury (aggravated misdemeanor) and Domestic Abuse Assault (simple misdemeanor). These charges stem from a tip/complaint and a search warrant that was executed on December 13 in the 200 blk S Madison Street in Hazleton.
On Friday, December 20, 2024 at approximately 10:30 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Conner Lee Rawlins, 19, of Independence. Rawlins was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and taken into custody from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, December 20, 2024 at approximately 4:40 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Dakota Brent Murphy, 31, of Fairbank. Murphy was charged with Violation of Protection Order (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 1900 blk Three Elms Park Road.
On Saturday, December 21, 2024 at approximately 8:50 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Travis Allen Farmer, 53, of Jesup. Farmer was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). This arrest stems from a search warrant on December 19 in the 700 blk Ninth Street in Jesup.
On Sunday, December 22, 2024 at approximately 11:05 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Brett Richard Waring, 43, of Lamont. Waring was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for an original charge of fifth degree Theft (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 600 blk Concord Street in Lamont.
On Monday, December 23, 2024 at approximately 3:20 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Sawyer Kevin Ray Pritchard, 23, of Dundee. Pritchard was arrested on active arrest warrants out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Monday, December 23, 2024 at approximately 8:30 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Raymond Dwayne Draven III, 59, of Palo. Draven was charged with third or subsequent Possession of Controlled Substance (class D felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor) and Violation of Protection Order (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made following an incident near Water Street and Racine Avenue in Quasqueton.
On Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at approximately 4:35 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Raymond Dwayne Draven III, 59, of Palo. Draven was charged with Violation of Protection Order (simple misdemeanor). This charge was filed following a previously reported incident in the 300 blk S Third Street in Quasqueton.
On Thursday, December 26, 2024 at approximately 10:25 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Brett Richard Waring, 43, of Lamont. Waring was charged with Eluding (serious misdemeanor) and cited for Windshield Requirements and Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance. This arrest was made after a Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Waring for a minor traffic violation.
On Friday, December 27, 2024 at approximately 1:40 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Timothy Aruther Ladeburg, 61, of Oelwein. Ladeburg was charged with Driving While License Suspended (simple misdemeanor) and cited for Surpassing Catch Limit for Fish. This arrest was made near West Hayes Street and North Main Street in Hazleton.
On Saturday, December 28, 2024 at approximately 9:45 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Thang Ding, 26, of Columbus Junction. Ding was charged with first degree Kidnapping (class A felony), Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (class C felony), Felon in Possession of Firearm (class D felony), Trafficking Stolen Weapons (class D felony), Domestic Abuse Assault While Impeding Airflow (aggravated misdemeanor), second offense Domestic Abuse Assault (serious misdemeanor) and Violation of Protection Order (simple misdemeanor). Ding was also arrested on active arrest warrants out of Muscatine County for Failure to Appear and Jefferson County for Failure to Appear. This arrest was made following an incident in the 2900 blk Dugan Avenue.
On Sunday, December 29, 2024 at approximately 3:15 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Isabel Marie Rodriquez, 19, and Mekhi Semaj Gossitt, 18, both of Cedar Rapids. Rodriquez was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Gossitt was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (serious misdemeanor). These arrests were made following a disturbance in the 1700 blk Golf Course Blvd.
On Sunday, December 29, 2024 at approximately 6:00 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Tracy Jean Cummer, 24, of Lamont. Cummer was charged with Reckless Use of Firearm (aggravated misdemeanor) and Animal Abuse (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made following an incident in the 1000 blk Oak Street in Lamont.
On Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at approximately 2:05 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Danrius Braxton, 29, of Cedar Rapids. Braxton was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear and was taken into custody from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at approximately 11:55 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Tonia Marie Reynolds, 45, of Strawberry Point. Reynolds was charged with first offense Operating While Intoxicated (serious misdemeanor) and cited for Driving on Wrong Side of Two-Way Highway. This arrest was made near the 260 mile marker of Hwy 20 after multiple 911 reports of a wrong-way driver.
On Thursday, January 02, 2025 at approximately 8:30 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Cory Lynn Kotenbrink, 45, of Hampton. Kotenbrink was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for an original charge of Protection Order Violation (simple misdemeanor) and was held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Thursday, January 02, 2025 at approximately 6:00 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Matthew John Chase, 40, of Fairbank.
