To the Editor:
This is my final appeal to local voters. Please get you heads on straight and your eyes out of the Fox propaganda channels and tune into CNN or MSNBC and read Liz Cheney’s book “Duty and Honor†and face the truth about Donald Trump. Sooner or later you will realize you have been conned and duped by Trump. Hopefully before you vote.
I’m confused, not because I’m 90 years old, but because of the polls. Why would any of my fellow Veterans vote for the draft-dodger-in-chief who insulted our heroes like John McCain and the Medal of Honor recipients, and called the soldiers who died on Normandy Beach “suckers†and “losers?†Why would any self-respecting woman vote for a man who cheated on all three wives and bragged about grabbing women by their private parts? Why would any true Christian vote for a hypocrite of such low morals and ethics? Why would any farmers vote for Trump, knowing that a 15% tariff on Chinese goods will cost us our China grain export business, cause an additional decline in grain prices, a decline in land values, scare the banks, and throw us into a return to the crisis of the 1980s?
One of the greatest flaws of a free society is the freedom to do stupid actions. When you vote, you can be smart and patriotic, or do the opposite and be un-patriotic.
We have a clear choice this election. A young vibrant candidate who in running to continue her service to our country with high morals and ethics. Or a diminished, dirty old man running to stay out of jail and exact punishment on his perceived enemies.
I have already voted for the Harris-Walz ticket, and I hope you will do the same.
