The sounds and smells of hundreds of horses were in the air last week – along with the sharp voices of quick talking auctioneers - as the Waverly Sales Company hosted the annual spring Midwest Horse Sale from Wednesday through Friday. The March 26-28 event is the largest horse auction in the nation, and this year's spring auction action was one of the biggest and best in several years, numerous attendees told the Waverly Newspapers.
