Information Collection

and Use by gathers identifying information about individuals only when individuals provide that information on a voluntary basis pursuant to the voluntary registration process for certain sections of the Website. Such information includes, but is not limited to, name, age, gender, email address, cell phone number, personal interests, physical address, and other contact information. We use this voluntary profile data to (a) provide customized content to users, (b) authenticate users, (c) send notifications to users relating to the Website, (d) assist users in communicating with us and each other, and (e) make offers to users that we believe may be of interest to them based on their personal profile data. Community Newspaper Group logs information about use of the Website, including IP address, profile information, pages visited, and browser type, from users of the Website. This data is used to provide customized content to users, provide targeted offers to users, manage the site, track usage and improve services.

In order to access certain sections or features of the Website, users must provide us, at a minimum, with a valid e-mail address in order to complete the voluntary registration process. E-mail addresses are used to send notifications related to the Website and to communicate offers. Registered users may choose not to receive promotional e-mails from us by changing the settings within their personal profile, although such users may still receive e-mails from us concerning non-promotional Website communications. Registered users may communicate with each other through the Website without disclosing their e-mail addresses.

We may also aggregate user information for the purpose of making offers to users that we believe may be of interest to them.

Third parties can read information voluntarily posted by registered users on the Website. That information can be used by those third parties to send you unsolicited messages. Community Newspaper Group has no control over such unsolicited messages.

Use of Cookies

We may place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain Personal Information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided.
