Preregistration ends today (Wednesday), for the Saturday, March 15, West Union Main Street Chamber 9-Pin Mulligan Bowling Tournament at Lilac Lanes Bowling Center in West Union.
The annual event, which is open to people of all ages, will include three shifts of bowlers. The first bowling ball is scheduled to be tossed at 1 p.m. Children and families will receive preference when reserving for the first shift. Bumpers will be allowed. However, if the bumpers are used, the scoring will not count.
The second and third shifts will follow at 4 and 7 p.m., respectively. Registration is at noon. The $100 fee for a team of four includes shoe rental. Unlimited mulligans can be purchased by bowlers for $10 each.
The winning team will receive $300 (based on 16 teams) in Chamber Bucks. Second place will receive $200 and third place, $100, all in Chamber Bucks. A 50/50 raffle will be held and St. Patrick’s Day-themed beverages will be served during the event.
All proceeds benefit the West Union Main Street Chamber and its community efforts. Persons may preregister for the tournament in person at Lilac Lanes or by calling 563-422-3070.
