All parents and students are invited to join Healthy Fayette County for a Thursday, May 8, presentation by Kaleb Joseph, founder of the Self-Help Tour. The program is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the second-floor ballroom at Upper Iowa University’s Fayette campus. A free meal will be provided at 6 p.m. for attendees.
Joseph grew up in a challenging environment, using basketball as escape while facing instability at home. He became a top recruit and earned a Division I scholarship, but the pressure led to anxiety, stress and eventually addiction.
After hitting rock bottom and receiving support from former NBA players, Joseph turned his pain into purpose and now helps others develop emotional intelligence, resilience and self-awareness to navigate life’s challenges.
The May 8 presentation is sponsored by Healthy Fayette County, MercyOne, and the Robert & Ruth Walker Charitable Fund.
