On Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at approximately 11:05 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Kimberly Kay Lyon, 55, of Independence. Lyon was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear. This arrest was made in the 2200 blk Gentry Avenue.
On Thursday, October 24, 2024 at approximately 9:45 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested John Michael Miller, 58, of Hazleton. Miller was arrested on active arrest warrants out of Buchanan County for original charges of Possession of Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (class C felony), Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (class D felony), Possession of Controlled Substance – Hydrocodone (serious misdemeanor), Possession of Controlled Substance – Oxycodone (serious misdemeanor), Possession of Controlled Substance – Morphine (serious misdemeanor), Possession of Controlled Substance – Methylphenidate (serious misdemeanor), Unlawful Possession of Prescription Pills (serious misdemeanor), Keeping Vehicle or Premises for Drug Use (aggravated misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). These charges stem from a search warrant executed on 06/03/2024 in the 300 blk W Hayes Street in Hazleton, and Miller was held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Thursday, October 24, 2024 at approximately 2:20 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jenna Beth McLaury, 32, of Cedar Rapids. McLaury was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation. This arrest was made in the 1000 blk Nelson Avenue in Stanley.
On Friday, October 25, 2024 at approximately 12:10 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Kevin Wesley Fogle, 34, of Alburnett. Fogle was charged with first offense Operating While Intoxicated (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a traffic stop near 220th Street and Quasqueton Diagonal Blvd.
On Friday, October 25, 2024 at approximately 7:50 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 17-year-old female juvenile, charging her with Assault Causing Bodily Injury (serious misdemeanor). The juvenile was booked and released to guardians, and will be referred to Juvenile Court Services.
On Saturday, October 26, 2024 at approximately 6:00 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Wendy Suzette Brimmer, 58, of Berwick, PA. Brimmer was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Parole Violation and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Sunday, October 27, 2024 at approximately 5:45 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Isaiah Michael Paustian, 25, of Hazleton. Paustian was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault on Pregnant Person (class D felony), Going Armed with Intent (class D felony), Assault on Older Person (aggravated misdemeanor), Child Endangerment (aggravated misdemeanor), second or subsequent offense Possession of Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (class D felony), Disorderly Conduct (simple misdemeanor), Obstruction of Emergency Communications (simple misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a disturbance the 400 blk E Sufficool Street in Hazleton.
On Sunday, October 27, 2024 at approximately 10:05 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Rebecca Mae White, 67, of Hazleton. White was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for original charges of Possession of Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (class D felony), Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (class D felony), second offense Possession of Controlled Substance – Morphine (aggravated misdemeanor), second offense Possession of Controlled Substance – Oxycodone (aggravated misdemeanor), second offense Possession of Controlled Substance – Methylphenidate (aggravated misdemeanor), second offense Possession of Controlled Substance – Hydrocodone (aggravated misdemeanor), Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs (serious misdemeanor), Keeping Vehicle or Premises for Controlled Substance Usage (aggravated misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 300 blk Alice Street in Aurora. These charges stem from a search warrant executed on 06/03/2024 in the 300 blk W Hayes Street in Hazleton.
On Monday, October 28, 2024 at approximately 8:20 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Crystal Renea Cordray, 40, of Cedar Falls. Cordray was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear and was taken into custody from the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday, October 28, 2024 at approximately 2:55 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Joseph Jerome Hogan, 33, of Oelwein. Hogan was charged with Public Intoxication (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 200 blk Fifth Avenue NE in Independence.
On Monday, October 28, 2024 at approximately 3:20 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Zachary David Worthy, 26, of Hazleton. Worthy was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault with Strangulation (aggravated misdemeanor), Child Endangerment (aggravated misdemeanor) and Interference with 911 Communications (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a disturbance in the 300 blk W Hayes Street in Hazleton.
On Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at approximately 9:30 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Kody Allen Letts, 33, of Winthrop. Letts was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at approximately 12:25 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Tyler Wayne Forney, 30, of Fayette. Forney was charged with Driving While License Barred (aggravated misdemeanor), Driving While License Suspended (simple misdemeanor), Failure to Carry SR22 Insurance as Required and cited for Operation of Non-Registered Vehicle, Fraudulent Use of Registration and Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance. This arrest was made following a traffic stop near 1st Street and 14th Avenue SE in Independence.
On Friday, November 01, 2024 at approximately 5:55 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Terraz Monqvie Carter, 27, of Waterloo. Carter was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Friday, November 01, 2024 at approximately 6:20 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Vicki Ann Tasma, 56, of Hazleton. Tasma was charged with Public Intoxication (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 100 blk S Main Street in Hazleton.
On Saturday, November 02, 2024 at approximately 5:00 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Robert John Beatty III, 59, of Winthrop. Beatty was charged with Assault Causing Serious Injury (class D felony) and Assault Causing Injury on Older Persons (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made following an incident in the 500 blk Easy Street in Winthrop.
