JESUP - It was a packed race on Tuesday night in Jesup that saw two area girls finish first, Union’s Amilia Condon, and second, Center Point-Urbana’s Grace Estling.

The CPU girls were able to bring home a team title as well while the CPU boys took home a fifth place finish.

Girls

Union

Condon ran away from the rest of the field on Tuesday en route to a first place finish with a time of 18:21, 25 seconds ahead of Estling.

Lily Lorenzen was the next Knight to cross the line in 52nd place. She clocked a time of 22:23.

Katie Jackson finished inside the top-100 in 94th place, finishing with a time of 23:58.

Mara Tudor and Lorolei Hinebaugh finished back-to-back in 106th and 107th places, respectively, with times of 24:57 and 25:11 to round out the top-five for Union.

As a team, the Knights finished in 14th place out of 17 teams with 317 team points.

Center Point-Urbana

Estling finished in second place at Jesup with a time of 18:46, 30 seconds ahead of the third place finisher.

Sydney McCormick and Emily Bowe crossed the line in the top-20 with 15th and 18th place finishes, respectively. McCormick crossed the line in 20:20 nd Bowe clocked a time of 20:39.

Avanti Dunn and Maci Kindschi rounded out the top-five for CPU in 25th and 35th places, respectively. Dunn hit the mat in 21:02 while Kindschi clocked a time of 21:52.

CPU was able to take home a team title with 85 points, four ahead of second place Hudson.

Benton

Sloan Slouha led the pack for the Bobcats in 41st place with a time of 22:01 and Layna DeMoss also finished with a sub-23 minute time in 66th place, clocking a time of 22:59.

Emma King and Kenna Lennie finished the race in 73rd and 76th places, respectively with times of 23:15 and 23:24.

Lydia Stearns rounded out the top-five for Benton in 93rd place with a time of 23:57.

As a team, the ‘Cats finished with 306 points, good for 13th place.

Boys

Center Point-Urbana

Carter Easton led the Stormin’ Pointers and the area boys racers in 14th place with a time of 16:49.

Landon Batcheler and Levi Graham crossed the line in 33rd and 35th places, respectively. Batcheler clocked a time of 17:40 while Graham hit the mat in 17:42.

Cayle Estling and Jackson Kelly rounded out the top-five for the CPU boys in 47th and 78th places and times of 18:02 and 19:05, respectively.

As a team, the Stormin’ Pointers took home fifth place with 180 team points.

Benton

For the Bobcats, Caleb Olson took 34th place to lead the team with a time of 17:41.

Luke Lange and Jaxson Mehlert crossed the line in 58th and 67th places, respectively, clocking times of 18:28 and 18:50.

Ethan Schwake and Noah Pickart rounded out the top-five racers for Benton in 79th and 80th places, respectively. Schwake crossed the line in 19:06 and Pickart was a second behind with a time of 19:07.

As a team, the ‘Cats took home ninth place with 283 points.

Union

For the Knights, Sawyer Spence cracked the top-20 with a 17th place finish and a time of 16:56.

Cooper Davis just missed out on the top-50 finishers in 51st place, finishing with a tie of 18:16, three seconds back of 50th.

Kengo Uchiyama-Hansen finished inside the top-100 finishers for the race in 98th and a time of 19:53.

Tristan Keister and Ian Grimm were the fourth and fifth racers to cross the line for Union in 134th and 136th places. The duo crossed the line in 21:26 and 21:29.

As a team, the Knights finished with 390 points, good for 16th place.
