Fayette County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested two individuals in Hawkeye in the early morning hours Wednesday.

At around 1:15 a.m., deputies executed a search warrant at 234 East Wilbur Street in Hawkeye where “distribution amounts†of methamphetamine and marijuana were found and seized, which was over 75 grams of methamphetamine and a 1/2 pound of marijuana.

Scott Zell, 63, of Hawkeye, was arrested and charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony; Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana, two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Offense, two counts of Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Being Used-Methamphetamine, all Class D Felonies; Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Being Used-Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Another individual living at the residence, Gail Anne Williams, 53, of Fredericksburg, was arrested and charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony; Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana, two counts of Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Being Used-Methamphetamine, all Class D Felonies; Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Being Used-Marijuana, two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Offense, all serious misdemeanors; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Zell and Williams are being held at the Fayette County Jail where they await initial appearances.

Charges are merely an accusation until proven guilty.
