At approximately 7:20 p.m. Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident involving a semi that had rolled on to its side in the median located on US20 at mile-marker 243 westbound. The semi was occupied by a male driver who was transported to MercyOne Waterloo by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation of the accident is still ongoing.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Evansdale Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Jesup Police, Fire Department and Ambulance Services, and Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office.
