Stop at chalet

Waverly Newspapers editor Anelia K. Dimitrova and her son, Vesselin Mitev, and husband, Rick Truax, traversed the Alps between Chamomix, France, and Zermatt, Switzerland.

There are many ways to convey this fairly simple insight, but mine is this: Attitude sets your altitude and your amplitude.

I’ve tested this principle over the years but it tested me and my family on a strenuous and breath-takingly beautiful 100-mile hike-a-thon in the Alps called

Haute Route or the High (Level) Route, which starts in Chamonix, France, and,traversing several passes, ends in Zermatt, Switzerland.

My husband, my son and I tackled in mid July, but the test was tougher than we could have imagined.
