The Waverly-Shell Rock baseball team hosted a "Youth Night" at their Tuesday, July 1 matchup against South Winneshiek. Players from a number of youth baseball teams got a chance to stand on the field and greet the Go-Hawks' lineup as they were introduced before the game.

The Waverly Shell-Rock softball team competed at the Don Bosco Annual Softball tournament on Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28. The Go-Hawks finished the tournament with a 3-1 record, including a win against a ranked opponent.

The Denver baseball team fell in both games of their doubleheader against Dike-New Hartford on Monday, June 23. The wins move the Cyclones one game behind the Wolverines for the conference title with three games remaining in conference play.

The Waverly-Shell Rock softball team shutout the No. 12 ranked team in class 1A, Kee, by a score of 5-0. The result gives the Go-Hawks their third win of the season against teams who have been ranked, and moves their win streak to nine games.

The Janesville and Clarksville baseball and softball teams met in a pair of Iowa Star North conference games on Monday, June 23. The Wildcats came out on top in baseball 16-1, while the Indians stayed undefeated in conference play in softball 5-0.
